Mumbai Saga Review 2021: Director Sanjay Gupta has come to the audience with his new film ‘Mumbai Saga’, which stars John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi. The John Abraham and Imram Hashmi starrer ‘Mumbai Saga‘ is a multistarrer crime thriller. Such films have been seen by the audience before, has Sanjay Gupta introduced something new through ‘Mumbai Saga’ or is it by immersing the old story in a new color? Let us tell you…

Story of the film:

The story of ‘Mumbai Saga’ portrays the life of a real-life gangster Amartya Rao aka DK Rao, played by John Abraham. Amartya Rao ruled Mumbai when the city was known as Bombay. How Amartya Rao became the most well-known goon of Mumbai and how it ended is the story of ‘Mumbai Saga’.

Special of the film:

This is not new in the film ‘Mumbai Saga’. Bollywood has made many such gangster drama films. You can watch Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Mumbai Saga’ for Imran Hashmi-John Abraham’s dialogue, well-shot action scenes and Shaanadan visual effects. The film also stars actors like Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover, Mahesh Manjrekar and Amol Gupte.

Flaws of the film:

Director Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Mumbai Saga’ contains all the Bollywood things that have been seen in such films. Things like the journey from the week of recovery to the wrong path due to poverty have been seen on the screen before. The major problem of ‘Mumbai Saga’ is not that it has visible scenes but also its biggest drawback is that Sanjay Gupta has not even tried anything new in it. Shikhar Bhatnagar’s camerawork and editing of Bunty Negi have also failed to give the edge to ‘Mumbai Saga’.

Final verdict:

Die-hearted fans of Emraan Hashmi and John Abraham may turn to the ‘Mumbai Saga’. Jugalbandi of these two is the life of the film. After a long time, you get to hear such beautiful dialogues on the screen. Viewers who like the movies of the crime thriller genre can also buy the ticket for ‘Mumbai Saga’. I give ‘Mumbai Saga’ 2.5 stars from my side.
